Ripple Creek Lodge's drop camps are strategically situated in the pristine wilderness of the White River National Forest and the Flat Tops Wilderness Area in the beautiful northwest region of Colorado. Embraced by abundant Elk habitat, these camps provide avid hunters with unparalleled opportunities to pursue their game right from the comfort of their tent, eliminating the necessity of horses or extensive hiking excursions
The Flat Tops, a federally designated Wilderness Area known for hosting the world’s largest Elk herd, provides a distinctive and adventurous experience for our guided hunters. This remote and rugged backcountry showcases some of the finest Elk habitat in the country, featuring a variety of terrains including small open meadows, aspen-covered mountainsides, and dense stands of spruce, pine, and fir forests that support a robust Elk population. The area is also abundant with Mule Deer, Black Bear, and Moose.
The camps are capable of hosting groups ranging from 2 to 8 hunters and serve as a cozy and secure haven in the vast, secluded backcountry during your hunting expedition. Each camp comprises two tents – one designated for cooking facilities and the other thoughtfully arranged and furnished to serve as the designated sleeping quarters, ensuring a balanced blend of functionality and comfort amidst the rugged wilderness.
