Ripple Creek Lodge's Private Land hunts take place on the LP Ranch, located within GMUs 11 and 211 northwest of Meeker, Colorado. Situated approximately 25 miles northwest of Meeker, the LP Ranch spans over 2,300 deeded acres of premium elk and deer habitat. The LP Ranch is nestled amid vast expanses of public land accessible only from the Ranch offering endless hunting opportunities.
Hunters will be accommodated in comfortable cabins at the LP Ranch during their stay. Meals will be served in the ranch house dining room in a family or banquet style for breakfast and dinner throughout your visit. Each hunter will also receive a packed lunch for their day out in the field. We kindly request that you arrive at the Ranch one day before the hunt begins to allow our staff to get you settled in and for your body to acclimate to the higher elevation of the Rocky Mountains.
During the fall months, Colorado experiences extreme weather conditions with nighttime temperatures dropping well below freezing and daytime temperatures ranging from the mid 50’s to 60’s. It is crucial to be adequately prepared for fluctuating temperatures and moisture levels. Layering warm, waterproof clothing is recommended to address these challenges effectively. Start with a thermal base layer, add a lightweight t-shirt, layer with a warm hoodie or sweatshirt, and complete the ensemble with an insulated waterproof shell.
