BOOKING INFO:Fly Fishing anywhere is fun, but there’s nothing quite like fly fishing in one of Colorado’s remote Flat Tops Wilderness. From the small streams to high alpine lakes, the fish are unpressured and the scenery is unbeatable.
The Flat Tops Wilderness offers a diverse range of fishing opportunities within its picturesque scenery. Anglers can opt for small stream fishing, explore alpine lakes, or visit beaver ponds. Each option presents its own set of techniques, advantages, challenges, and opportunities. In these waters, brookies and native cutthroats can be found taking advantage of abundant insect hatches that occur on the still waters during the summer months.
When venturing into the backcountry, it is important to be prepared for unpredictable weather conditions. Bringing extra layers will ensure a comfortable fishing experience. A small day pack is necessary to carry snacks, gear and essentials. Please note that equipment is not provided, so be sure to bring your own gear. Stay informed by checking the Fishing Reports for the latest information on flies and hatches. Feel free to contact us too for guidance on which flies to bring. Don’t forget to pack sunscreen, polarized glasses, bug repellent, extra tippet and leaders, and any other gear you might need for a day on the water.
